Apex Legends: Cipher Update and New Features Are Live
With the Apex Legends Cipher update, Crypto’s abilities are being updated, the Akimbo Wingman is being added to the game, and both Revenant and Lifeline are receiving reworks.
Apex Legends is hosting significant changes to its game mechanics with the release of the new Cipher update. This patch highlights updates to Crypto’s surveillance technology, alongside enhancements to weapon variety and character balance.
Character and Ability Changes
With the new firmware update for Crypto, his Surveillance Drone now operates on battery power and can mark enemies within its line of sight. Additionally, Crypto’s EMP ultimate ability has been reorganized. Revenant and Lifeline have received full reboots, featuring redesigned ability sets with various improvements.
Weapon and Loot Updates
The arsenal is expanding with the Akimbo Wingman, allowing players to wield two Wingmans simultaneously for dual-wielding firepower. Furthermore, Stronghold locations on the map have been updated to act as raid-able areas for higher-tier loot.
