Excitement continues in the world of Counter-Strike 2. Valve has released a new update that brings special content in honor of the Cologne 2026 Major tournament to players, while also including important bug fixes aimed at strengthening the game's technical infrastructure. With this update, several new features stand out for both collectors and competitive players alike.

The Cologne 2026 Excitement Begins

At the center of the update are the highly anticipated Cologne 2026 Major stickers. This new collection, titled the "Ranked Series," is now available for purchase in the in-game store. Valve has announced that 50 percent of the revenue generated from these sales will go directly to the players, teams, and the tournament organizer. If you are looking to complete your collection or support your favorite teams, keep in mind that these items will remain in the store until September 29.

Map Updates and Technical Improvements

The development team did not neglect community maps either. The Boulder, Fachwerk, and Shelter maps, which are followed via the Steam Workshop, have been updated to their latest versions. Furthermore, for content creators working with map editing tools, loading errors in "tools mode" that required manual script recompilation have been resolved.

Another significant change improving the game's general stability concerns the VACnet system. A security vulnerability that allowed some malicious players to evade VACnet audits has been patched. Additionally, a bug that prevented players who completed "The Dead Hand Collection" from receiving their experience points (XP) has been addressed with this patch. Remember to update your game to ensure a smoother Counter-Strike 2 experience.
