Serious Sam: Shatterverse: First Major Update Is Live
The first major update released for Serious Sam: Shatterverse introduces critical bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements that enhance the overall gaming experience.

We have great news for those returning to the Serious Sam: Shatterverse universe! The development team has meticulously reviewed the feedback received since the game's launch and has now released the first major update for players. This patch focuses specifically on resolving technical glitches that disrupted the game flow and making the control feel much smoother.
Gameplay Comfort and Bug Fixes
With this update, the "blend delay" feature added to the aiming mechanics of the SOP38 pistol makes transitions feel much smoother and more natural. Furthermore, the issue of the weapon wheel getting stuck on the screen—which was the most common complaint among players—has been completely resolved, making weapon switching much more fluid. The team also made changes to camera settings, setting the default Camera Smoothing to off for keyboard and mouse users, and on for controller users.
On the more technical side, there are important fixes. Specifically, the error where the "Flying Razors" Intel displayed an incorrect percentage as it leveled up has been fixed; every upgrade now accurately reflects the true values. Small lava golems that previously ignored Retro Sam's decoy copy, reinforced with the Luring Intel, will now focus on this trap as intended. Additionally, some exploits in the Clockwork Arena that caused weapon chests to occasionally appear empty, and allowed players to stand on decorations to confuse enemy AI, have been patched.
Stability and Future Plans
Regarding performance, crash issues encountered during battles with Rogue Netricsa, especially in solo mode, are now a thing of the past. The bug that caused unnecessary achievement notifications to be sent in the background has also been cleared. The development team states that this small but effective update is just the beginning. Analyzing the data coming from the community, the team has teased that a much more comprehensive balancing patch is on the way. Keep shattering the Shatterverse; don't forget to share your feedback, as the developers continue to read every single one!
