Counter-Strike 2: New 'Rush' Game Mode and Updated Map Selection
A new Counter-Strike 2 update introduces the fast-paced 3v3 'Rush' game mode and completely revamps the map selection process in Premier mode.

Counter-Strike 2 has received a comprehensive update that refreshes the gaming experience. This patch introduces the fast-paced 3v3 game mode, Rush, while bringing a more balanced structure to the map selection process in Premier mode.
Premier and the New Game Mode
The map selection process in Premier mode has become more strategic. In the new system, team 1 bans a map, team 2 picks two maps, and team 1 determines the final map. One of these four selected maps is then chosen at random to begin the match.
The Rush mode has been added, offering a fast and competitive 3v3 experience. Players compete to reach the enemy base in randomly selected combat arenas. To win the round, players must either eliminate the opposing team or secure control of the tower when time expires.
Balance and Gameplay Changes
- Holding down the reload button now allows for a slower, silent reload.
- Unscoping with sniper rifles no longer produces a sound.
- Bullet tracers and visual clarity have been generally improved.
- The
ammo_grenade_limit_totalsetting now limits the total number of grenades that can be purchased in a round. - The Zeus x27 can now deal damage to chickens.
