Counter-Strike 2: Rush Update and New Features Live
Counter-Strike 2 receives a new 3v3 Rush mode, improvements to grenade and bullet visibility, silent reloading mechanics, and the return of clan tags.

Counter-Strike 2 has received significant changes with the new Rush update, offering players a fresh gameplay experience. This patch introduces the new 3v3-based Rush mode while making notable adjustments to visual effects and gameplay mechanics.
New Mode: Rush
Rush is a new, fast-paced game mode played in a 3v3 format. Taking place on randomly selected battlefields, players must capture objectives and conquer the enemy fortress under limited budgets and time constraints. This mode ensures variety with different maps each match and features a dedicated friends leaderboard.
Map Selection in Premier Mode
The map selection process in Premier mode has been updated. Instead of teams banning maps until only one remains, each team will now select two maps. After a total of four maps are determined, one will be chosen randomly from this pool to begin the match.
Gameplay and Visual Improvements
- Silent Reload: You can now perform a silent reload by holding the reload key, though this process takes longer than a standard reload.
- Silent Scope: Zooming in and out with sniper rifles is now completely silent.
- Visual Updates: Blood effects and bullet tracers have been made more distinct.
- Crosshair Settings: Crosshair customization has been expanded with new shapes and configuration options.
- Clan Tags: Clan tags selected from Steam Groups are now visible again next to player names.
Other Additions
A new Music Kit by Starjunk 95 has been added to the game.
