Dota 2: Dark Carnival Event and July 7 Update Goes Live
The new Dota 2 patch improves the Dark Carnival event reward system, introduces changes to Ranked Roles queues, and resolves numerous bugs.

Dota 2 has released a new update for its popular summer event, Dark Carnival. With this patch, the reward acquisition mechanics within the event have been completely overhauled, and technical issues that directly impacted the gameplay experience have been resolved. Valve has taken player feedback into account, making the ticket earning process more accessible.
Dark Carnival Event Reward System Updated
You will now be able to earn 2 'Scrap' tickets from standard Dark Carnival matches and 1 from Turbo matches. The best development is that all players, regardless of whether they win or lose, will now be able to earn these Scraps. With 6 Scraps collected, you can easily exchange them for a hero ticket of your choice. Additionally, the ability to earn 'Seeing Stones' in Co-op Bot matches on Hard and Unfair difficulty levels has been added to the game. Thanks to a new feature added to the Candyworks interface, you will now be able to see more clearly whether the items you have are already in your inventory.
Ranked Roles and General Gameplay Balancing
An important quality-of-life improvement has been made on the competitive side. Solo players can now enter the 'Ranked Roles' queue by selecting only one of the high-demand roles without spending their 'Role Queue' tokens. Furthermore, the area of effect (AoE) for Innate abilities is now shown more clearly on the world map when hovering over the skill.
Technical Bug Fixes
A large portion of the patch notes includes bug fixes aimed at increasing game stability. Specifically, the issue of starting a game without heroes during Captain's Mode selection has been resolved. In addition, bugs related to the Granite Golem healing more than intended, errors in the Prowler Shaman's armor reduction mechanism, and technical glitches in the working principles of various items (Hand of Midas, Ironwood Nut, Conjurer's Catalyst) have been fixed. AI errors, such as bots getting stuck on items under towers or freezing while dewarding, have also been addressed with this update package. Stability improvements aimed at the frequently reported server and client-side crashes also aim to provide players with a smoother Dota 2 experience.
