However, fans immediately noticed a previously unseen character in the bottom right corner of the image. This new hero, whose name has not yet been revealed, appears to be an Omnic wearing a stylish trench coat and a cool hat, while wielding a striking umbrella-like weapon.

The Mysterious Omnic and Fan Theories

Although Blizzard usually prefers to build anticipation by sharing only silhouettes during new hero announcements, they made an exception for this new Omnic. It has been confirmed that this character, known to be the 55th hero added to the game, will belong to the support class. Already drawing significant attention on social media for their 'Sherlock Holmes' aesthetic, fans have begun theorizing that the umbrella weapon could possess healing properties. Meanwhile, some users have analyzed the minor differences between the current design and the concept art shown during the Spotlight presentation in February, highlighting the character's evolution.

BlizzCon 2026 became the center of attention not only for this mysterious new hero but also for Doctrine, who will join the game on October 6th with Season 5. In addition to extensive reworks planned for Sombra and Roadhog, game director Aaron Keller hinted that even bigger surprises are in store for February 2027.
