September 2026 Gaming Calendar: Highly Anticipated Releases and Launch Dates
September is seeing an influx of major titles looking to escape the shadow of GTA 6; here are the new games coming to PS5, Xbox, PC, and Switch 2 platforms.

September marks a highly active period for the gaming world. With many of the year's biggest titles shifting their release schedules from November to September to avoid the looming shadow of GTA 6, gamers are being treated to an exceptionally rich selection. The PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC platforms will host both new franchises and highly anticipated sequels throughout the month.
September's Standout Titles
The first days of the month will be quite intense. The marathon begins on September 1st with Crimson Moon and Grail, followed by ambitious titles such as The Blood of Dawnwalker and BioEden on September 3rd. Later in the month, projects generating massive excitement in the gaming world, such as Marvel's Wolverine (September 15th) and Silent Hill Townfall (September 24th), will hit the shelves. Additionally, for sports enthusiasts, new installments of long-standing series like NHL 27 and EA Sports FC 27 will also meet players throughout September.
Towards the end of September, remasters and sequels of popular franchises, such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and Minecraft Dungeons 2, take center stage. The calendar does not stop at September, as it will lead into a fast-paced October. At the beginning of October, massive budget titles like Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be available for players. Given the density of platform-exclusive games and multi-platform projects, the final quarter of the year looks set to be highly productive for gamers.
