Stellar Blade: Complete Edition Is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2
The action game Stellar Blade, developed by Shift Up, is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform in 2026 with a Complete Edition version.

According to information announced at Gamescom 2026, the successful action game Stellar Blade, which was released for PlayStation in 2024 and subsequently for PC, is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. Shift Up CTO DongKi Lee confirmed that this new version of the game will be a "Complete Edition" package, including all previously released DLCs, special costumes, and seasonal content.
Technical Optimization and the Switch 2 Experience
The process of porting Stellar Blade to the Nintendo Switch 2 required meticulous effort. Lee stated that they have specifically converted the original data to mirror the haptic feedback experience found in the PlayStation 5 version with the Switch 2's HD Rumble technology. This aims to ensure that players receive the same quality of action sensation on the Switch 2 as they did on the PS5. Additionally, this version of the game includes touch screen support, gyroscope controls, and, interestingly, mouse support.
The development team noted that they performed significant memory optimization to adapt the game to the new console's architecture and revised the game's internal logic specifically for this platform. Lee mentioned that this challenging process has enhanced Shift Up's technical competencies for future game projects, noting that this experience will make it easier for them to focus on more platforms in the future. No definitive statement has been made regarding platform specifics for projects still in development, such as Stellar Blade: Blood Rain.
Finally, while it was emphasized that the core content of the Switch 2 version will remain the same as the PS5 and PC versions, DongKi Lee left the door open for potential surprises in the future. Although fans have not yet received clear information regarding whether there will be exclusive additional content for the Switch 2 version, the developer is expected to make new announcements in the coming days. Lee, who stated that he was greatly inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in his childhood, seems to have been driven by this passion as one of the fundamental motivations for Stellar Blade's significant journey onto a portable platform.
