Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, recently filed a motion in a U.S. federal court to identify the individuals responsible for the GTA 6 gameplay videos leaked online. In this legal move initiated under the DMCA, the company requested user information from Microsoft and Discord. Specifically, Take-Two, which is pursuing the account known as 'CyberLeek,' requested that data regarding certain Discord servers connected to this account be shared.

First Statement from DarkViperAU

It was alleged that one of the servers named in the court documents belonged to the editors of famous content creator Matthew 'Matt' Judge, known as DarkViperAU. Judge, who has over 2 million subscribers, stated in posts on his social media accounts that he has committed no crime. Denying any involvement in the incidents, the streamer argued that the mentioned server did not actually belong to his editors and that the leaked content was not hosted on his Discord channels.

Expressing his surprise at the developments, Judge noted that he had communicated with Rockstar Games many times in the past but had not been contacted directly regarding the leak process. Emphasizing that if they truly thought he had done something wrong, the company could have reached out to him via email, the YouTuber characterized Take-Two's move as 'the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.'

Leak Process and Legal Pursuit

According to documents submitted to the court by Take-Two, the requested information will be used to identify copyright infringements and protect the company's rights. The company argues that these leaks constitute a major violation of rights in terms of visual, auditory, and artistic content. So far, neither Take-Two nor Rockstar Games has made an official statement regarding the leaks or the filed court documents. DarkViperAU, meanwhile, described the process as one of the 'interesting' moments in his career, telling his fans not to worry and that he is confident he has committed no legal errors.
