A significant step has been taken to maintain competitive integrity in the world of Apex Legends. According to an official statement from the game's anti-cheat team, players were identified using account sharing to unfairly climb the Apex Predator rankings. These violations, which were concentrated primarily on console platforms, were uncovered through community reports and the monitoring of long, continuous gaming sessions.

258 Predator Players Penalized

As a result of the investigations, it was proven that the same accounts were being accessed from different devices, thereby gaining an unfair advantage in the rankings. Due to this rule violation, a total of 258 players—115 on PlayStation and 143 on Xbox—have been suspended from Apex Legends for 60 days. Authorities stated that this behavior is strictly against the terms of service and that all points gained through fraudulent means will be wiped. Emphasizing that their goal is to ensure the rankings truly reflect deserving players, the team stated they would not turn a blind eye to such abuse in the future.

Bot Royale and False Ban Claims

Another important issue addressed by the team was the Bot Royale mode. Within the community, claims had surfaced that recent bans were incorrectly issued to players who were playing Bot Royale. The anti-cheat team announced that they examined these complaints and the accounts in question one by one. As a result of the comprehensive investigation, it was confirmed that the bans in question were entirely valid and no errors had occurred. Game management stated that while they always take reports of erroneous bans seriously, they stand behind their decisions in the current cases. As signals were given that such operations would continue to keep the competitive gaming environment clean, players were once again reminded to compete within the rules.
