The world of Apex Legends opens its doors to a brand-new adventure with the "Ascended Hunt" event. Running from August 18 to September 8, this event brings ancient powers that transcend the limits of the Outlands into the arena. As players evolve their own powers to become true hunters, major changes await us in both gameplay mechanics and cosmetic content.
Evolve Your Powers with Wildcard Mode
At the heart of the event, the Wildcard mode offers players a gameplay structure that constantly evolves throughout the match. The "EVO Enhancing Wild Card" abilities you can select when dropping into the match provide strategic advantages based on your playstyle. Whether you want to increase your hipfire accuracy, boost your critical strike chance, or instill fear in your opponents using survival-focused traits like shield regeneration or lifesteal, the choice is yours. As the match progresses, more Wild Card slots unlock, and the longer you survive, the more your character transforms into something akin to a demigod. This new system will completely change the fate of skirmishes, particularly on the Kings Canyon, E-District, and Broken Moon maps.
A Cosmetic Feast: Gibraltar Prestige Skin
The Ascended Hunt event enlivens not just the mechanics, but the visual world as well. The most striking piece of the event is undoubtedly the new "Apex Bruddah" Prestige skin added for Gibraltar. Dazzling with its golden armor and elemental fire design, this skin takes your character to the next level with a special finisher and a unique dive trail. In addition, 24 different new cosmetic items designed for your favorite characters like Valkyrie, Conduit, Wraith, Alter, Lifeline, and Horizon have taken their place in the store.
There are also divine touches for your weapons, not just your characters. You can bolster your arsenal with new thematic skins prepared for the R-301, Havoc, Alternator, L-STAR, Bocek, and 30-30 Repeater. Furthermore, by collecting "Marks" points throughout the event, you will have the chance to unlock rewards from the event shop, such as an epic Mad Maggie skin and special banner frames.
