Apex Legends: August 26 Patch Notes and Fixes
The new update released for Apex Legends addresses critical bugs, including Octane's passive ability and Gibraltar's speed issue.

As competition in the world of Apex Legends continues at full speed, the development team has released a small but impactful update to make the gaming experience smoother. The patch notes shared today, August 26, specifically target technical glitches encountered by players during gameplay and character balancing. If you have experienced strange movements or restrictions in character controls during combat in recent days, this patch is for you.
Critical Fixes for Octane and Gibraltar
One of the most notable items in the update concerns Octane, the favorite character of speed enthusiasts. The bug that previously occurred for some players, preventing Octane's passive ability from fully regenerating health, is now a thing of the past. Octane can now reach full health as intended thanks to his passive ability. This fix will bring the survival chances of Octane users back to their previous levels.
Another important fix was made for Gibraltar. A bug occurring in the combination of the "Fast Shotties" ability and the "Corrupted Stock" attachment was causing Gibraltar to run much faster than intended. Since this disrupted competitive balance, it was quickly addressed, and the character's movement speed was returned to standard levels. You will no longer be able to gain an unfair speed advantage over your opponents while playing as Gibraltar.
Connection and Stability Issues
Work on the game's technical infrastructure is also part of this update. Rare crash errors that prevented players from taking action, especially in Battle Royale mode, have been completely resolved. Additionally, annoying issues such as "rubberbanding"—where characters appear to jitter or get pulled back—experienced by players reconnecting to the game after a disconnection have been solved. Thanks to these improvements, you will have a much more stable match experience when you return to the game following connection drops. With all these technical adjustments, Apex Legends has taken another step toward a more stable and fair competitive environment.
