Apex Legends: Major Balancing Changes for Axle Tactical and Characters Coming Soon!

Apex Legends players are preparing for a new balance patch scheduled to hit the game early next week. The development team is putting the controversial Axle Tactical under the microscope with significant nerfs, while also implementing major adjustments to the ability sets of several other characters.

Difficult Days Ahead for Axle Tactical

The new update focuses primarily on Axle Tactical. Developers are limiting the character's control by reducing the launch speed of the Nitro Gate ability from 750 to 700. Furthermore, there is a very harsh balance change to the Ultimate ability: its health has been reduced from 200 to 150, and its cooldown has been increased from 90 seconds to 120 seconds. In addition, the Ultimate's recoil angle has been widened, its maximum height has been lowered, and most importantly, the stun duration has been reduced from 1.5 seconds to a mere 0.25 seconds. However, as a small consolation for players, the new Drone Deployer upgrade, which replaces the Jump Gate upgrade, will allow the ability cooldown to be brought back down to 90 seconds.

Bloodhound and Seer Updates

The balancing isn't limited to Axle. Bloodhound will now be less visible while inside the dome, and ring damage will no longer break stealth. The tactical scan duration is being increased by 1 second, while scans will now provide more frequent snapshots that fade over time. There is also good news for Seer users: the turn-slow effect that occurs when taking damage from the Tactical ability has been completely removed.
