Apex Legends: Major Victory Against Cheaters and New Measures
The Apex Legends development team has announced that, following an agreement with hardware manufacturer Collective Minds, the impact of Cronus Zen and Strike Pack devices on the game has been eliminated.
A major development that Apex Legends players have long been waiting for, directly impacting competitive integrity, has taken place. The game's development team has taken a giant step regarding the cheating hardware that has been a long-standing headache. Negotiations that have been ongoing for some time with Collective Minds—the name behind hardware like Cronus Zen and Strike Pack, which negatively impact the gaming experience on both console and PC platforms—have reached a positive conclusion.
Goodbye to Cheat Hardware
According to the official statement, the Collective Minds team has decided to remove all Apex Legends-related cheat content and support files from their platform and Discord servers. This is seen as one of the most concrete steps taken to preserve the game's competitive structure and create an environment free of cheating. By preventing hardware-level exploits such as recoil reduction and aim assist abuse, the game will be moved to a much fairer position at both professional and amateur levels.
The development team emphasizes that this change is only the beginning and that the fight against cheaters will continue unabated. Highlighting that such initiatives are critical for the game's future and the quality of the competitive environment, officials stated that they will not abandon their goal of offering players a cleaner gaming experience. Players who wish to have more detailed information on the subject and closely examine the development team's vision can access the technical details shared on the official EA blog. These steps taken to ensure justice in the world of Apex Legends will extend the game's longevity in the long run and rebuild trust within the community.
