Apex Legends: New Update Released for Street Fighter 6 Event
Significant changes have been made to block mechanics and the Fighter Mode in the Apex Legends Street Fighter 6 Wildcard event to ensure better game balance.

Apex Legends has released a set of balance adjustments for the Wildcard event featuring the Street Fighter 6 collaboration, taking community feedback into account. This update introduces key changes to defensive mechanics and special mode durations.
Balance and gameplay changes
Following reviews and player feedback, the following adjustments have been implemented:
- Block Mechanics: Blocking now consumes the Fighter Gauge much faster. This change makes it easier to force players out of a blocking position when sufficient damage is dealt, emphasizing the core combat dynamics of the game.
- Fighter Mode: The ability to extend the mode's duration by dealing damage has been removed. This change aims to prevent players from staying in the mode for too long, which was disrupting match balance.
Other confirmed details
The Core Wildcard mode is returning alongside Apex K.O. Due to high community demand, the development team has decided that having two Wildcard instances available simultaneously is the best approach for players and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
