Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 9 Released: New Settings for Realms and Key Fixes
Minecraft developers have released Snapshot 9 in a surprise update. This patch brings new performance settings for Realms, changes to Enderman behavior, and a feature that will delight macOS users.

Minecraft, the classic of the gaming world, is back with the 26.3 Snapshot 9 update, released a day earlier than expected by the development team. This version includes a series of innovations focused on improving the experience, particularly on Realms servers, as well as significant bug fixes that affect game balance.
Time to Customize Realms
Realms owners can now manage their worlds with much greater precision. Thanks to the new settings included in the update, you can now increase the render distance up to 25 chunks. Furthermore, the ability to configure render and simulation distances independently has been added. This makes it much easier to balance your server's performance and visuals according to your own hardware capabilities.
Gameplay and Technical Improvements
There are also notable changes to in-game behavior. Endermen will now take damage from projectiles thrown while they are on a mount or object. Additionally, both Endermen and Shulkers are now prevented from teleporting onto Bedrock, paving the way for players to use these blocks as a strategic advantage. For macOS users, a 'Right-Click Emulation' option has been added to the Control settings menu, allowing the Control + left-click combination to function easily as a right-click.
On the technical side, the Data Pack version has been upgraded to 117.0. While the new block and item tags offer a much more flexible structure for content creators, the new functions added to number providers—such as 'sum', 'product', 'minimum', and 'average'—will significantly accelerate the mod development process. Featuring bug fixes and background performance improvements, this snapshot provides a more stable foundation for the world of Minecraft.
