The highly anticipated Naval update for Rust is arriving in February; here is everything you need to know about the new content, contest winners, and the Twitch Drop event taking place from February 5-15.
Exciting times are ahead for the Rust community! With an official announcement, Facepunch confirmed that preparations are accelerating for the Naval update, which will be added to the game with the major February wipe. The development team is inviting players to jump into the Staging branch now to test the new mechanics and send feedback via the in-game F7 reporting system. It is already a hot topic of discussion how these sea-focused innovations will shift the balance of the game.
Community Achievements and Events
The 'Base Decoration Contest' held throughout the Rustmas season has concluded. Kayli_j took first place with an immense village design spread across a mountain range, while MAK secured second place with a dome design shaped like a snow globe. Furthermore, the 'Art of Rust' community organized a mesmerizing event featuring concerts and fireworks on a special server to celebrate the game's 12th anniversary. Such community-driven projects prove once again that the game is not just a survival simulation, but also a massive playground for creativity.
